Q: How can i improve my leg strength?

Many surfer's disregard leg strength but it is an essential factor to consider. Strong legs equals longer rides and less chance of injury to the knees especially when doing some radical manoeuvres. Knee injuries are greatly reduced when the surrounding muscles, ligaments etc are strong yet flexible. Yoga is a great asset as well as incorporating various different exercises of squats, lunges, one leg squats (for more advanced) etc into your programme. All exercises should be firstly advised by a trainer and only completed in perfect technique.
