Why this exercise?

Everyone can benefit from developing and enhancing their balance and this most definitely includes surfers. Surfing is all about balance, so a few good balance exercises are great options to include in your lower body strength program Place any balance exercises early in your workout program while you are the most fresh, or use as a warm up, as they tend to require a lot more concentration and can be quite challenging. Balance work when you are already tired isn't ideal (or easy!!). Try these exercises which can be done regularly anywhere. I have chosen ones that only need yourself and a little space. Progress slowly. Keep check on your form and keep practicing.
